Guest Conduct

Here’s the Oak Lawn Live info! We intend this to be a safe, welcoming environment for guests, artists, volunteers, neighborhood businesses, and event personnel.

Harassment, threats, fighting, aggressive conduct, illegal activity, unsafe behavior, and deliberate interference with event operations will not be tolerated.

Guests must follow instructions provided by festival staff, security personnel, police officers, medical personnel, and participating venue staff. Anyone violating festival policies or creating a safety concern may be denied entry or removed from the event.

Please also be considerate of Oak Lawn residents, nearby properties, and neighborhood businesses.

Health and Safety

A first-aid and medical tent will be centrally located within the festival.

Cooling stations will be available throughout the event. Many participating Oak Lawn bars, restaurants, shops, and businesses also provide air-conditioned indoor spaces.

September weather in Dallas may be hot. Guests should:

  • Drink water regularly
  • Wear weather-appropriate clothing
  • Use sunscreen
  • Take breaks from direct sun and crowded areas
  • Pay attention to signs of heat-related illness
  • Seek assistance promptly when needed

Anyone needing assistance should contact a festival volunteer, security officer, police officer, or medical team member.

Weather monitoring and emergency procedures will be coordinated by festival operations and public-safety personnel. Guest instructions will be communicated through staff, stage announcements, event channels, and other available systems when necessary.

Accessibility

Oak Lawn Live is committed to providing an accessible guest experience.

The final festival map will identify available accessible routes, entrances, restrooms, viewing locations, medical services, and other guest amenities.

Service animals recognized under applicable law are permitted. Pets, comfort animals, therapy animals, and emotional-support animals are not permitted within the controlled festival footprint.

Guests who require a specific reasonable accommodation should contact Oak Lawn Live before the event so the team has an opportunity to coordinate the request.

Transportation and Arrival

Parking, public transportation, rideshare, accessible drop-off, street-closure, and neighborhood access information will be published before the festival.

Guests are strongly encouraged to plan transportation in advance and to expect street closures, traffic changes, and increased activity throughout Oak Lawn.

Do not rely on parking immediately adjacent to the festival footprint.

Neighborhood Businesses

Oak Lawn’s shops, bars, restaurants, and other businesses will remain open during the festival unless an individual business announces otherwise.

Food, beverages, merchandise, venue upgrades, table service, and other purchases from neighborhood businesses are separate from festival admission and VIP access.

Individual businesses retain control over their own:

  • Age requirements
  • Identification requirements
  • Dress codes
  • Capacity limits
  • Security procedures
  • Cover charges
  • Reservations and premium experiences

A festival credential does not guarantee entry into a privately operated business or venue.

Late-Night and Venue Programming

Oak Lawn Live’s outdoor festival programming ends at 10:00 PM.

Afterparties and late-night programming offered by neighborhood venues are separate experiences unless expressly identified as part of an Oak Lawn Live package. These experiences may require a separate ticket, cover charge, reservation, or minimum age of 21.

Entry remains subject to each venue’s capacity, identification requirements, house rules, and security procedures.

Schedule and Event Changes

Performance schedules, artists, stage assignments, amenities, entrances, operating hours, and other festival details may change because of weather, safety requirements, artist availability, government direction, or other operational circumstances.

Updated information will be posted through official Oak Lawn Live channels whenever reasonably possible.

Lost Items

Guests are responsible for their personal belongings. Oak Lawn Live and participating neighborhood businesses are not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen property.

Final lost-and-found procedures and the designated post-event contact will be published before the festival.
