Floor Freedom Foundation was created to honor the roots of house and techno and the Black, Latino and LGBTQ+ communities that helped shape the culture. For me, MIX3D MAJ3STY is my own expression within that history.
My sound leans into jazzy house, funky grooves, soulful moments and that sexy energy that makes house music feel alive. I love music that gives you room to let go, connect with the people around you and experience something unexpected.
As a curator, I love bringing different forms of creativity into the same space. For my F3 night on September 11, I’m bringing together THE M1 and Jess Baroness, with Makai of Dallas Black Art painting and selling his art in the back while the music fills the room.
That mix of music, art and people is a big part of what I want MIX3D MAJ3STY to feel like. It isn’t just one sound or one type of experience. I want different creative energies to exist together and become part of the same night.
After our pilot month, F3 is continuing every Friday at Alexandre’s in the Oak Lawn Gayborhood, and September 11 is my night. I’m excited to bring my own flavor of house and techno into that space. MIX3D MAJ3STY is still growing, and honestly, that is part of what I love about it.
The music starts at 9 p.m. and continues until 2 a.m. with no cover. Come early if you want food before the kitchen closes at 9, then stay for the music and live art!
I also want to shout out Lei D. Kllr, ReyDex and Peter Pepper for being part of F3. Peter organized the pilot and keeps a lot of the moving pieces connected behind the scenes. Thank you to Alexandre’s, The Market on the Strip and Royal Liquor Oak Lawn for supporting us.
