Purple Foundation, the organizer of the country’s largest all-volunteer charity dance weekend, Purple Party, is ready to rock the dance floor of Station 4 on November 14 with a new installment of Spin, Purple Foundation’s fabulous quarterly event. As the cool of autumn rolls into Dallas, Spin turns up the heat with the powerful rhythms and uplifting vocals of NYC-based DJ/Producer Eddie Martinez and local favorite Paul McElroy.
Headliner, Eddie Martinez is one of the circuit’s top DJs, mesmerizing crowds with his eclectic style and wowing DJs and music lovers alike with his original productions and incredible remixes of artists like Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, and Kylie Minogue. Eddie has played aside legendary DJs like Peter Rauhofer, DJ Paulo, and Abel at huge global events such as WE! Party, Papa Party, Gay Days, and Winter Party Festival. Recognized by Out Magazine as a DJ to watch, Eddie maintains a residency at NYC’s VIVA and can be found working on remixes and original productions for his indie label Stimulus Recordings and producing his “House Sessions” podcast. As always, Dallas’s own Paul McElroy will get the party started in style.
Station 4 promises to be the perfect setting for Eddie’s big-room sound of progressive beats and melodic tribal house, with a thundering sound system and state-of-the-art lighting experience in this 24,000 square-foot mega-club. In addition to its sweeping dance floor, Station 4 features a large patio and world-class drag entertainers in its Rose Room. Tickets are available online or at the door for $10, with proceeds benefitting local HIV/AIDS organizations.

In addition to Purple Party Weekend, Purple Foundation produces Purple Pride Weekend, during Dallas Gay Pride Weekend, and several quarterly dance events at various Dallas venues. Purple Foundation is proud and honored to continue to serve and support the Dallas community through dance and social fundraising events that directly benefit important HIV/AIDS organizations throughout the city, including AIDS Services of Dallas, Resource Center Dallas, and Legacy Counseling Center.

DJ Eddie Martinez (NYC)
Born and raised in NYC, Eddie Martinez’s passion to make his listeners dance, no matter where they are, drives his determination to be one of the top DJ/Producers around.
Eddie’s eclectic style has allowed him to capture larger audiences everywhere he spins, being able to read the crowd and maintain their attention throughout their experience. His breakthrough into the DJ world began in the Fire Island Pines, as a resident DJ at the Low Tea, High Tea parties and at the famous Pavilion nightclub. He has then since spun at various local NYC night clubs, bars, and lounges including; Splash, XL, Pacha, VIVA, and The Roseland Ballroom.
Eddie’s success so far has paved the way to become a resident at Peter Rauhofer’s hottest party in NYC WORK! spinning alongside Peter Rauhofer as well as sharing the decks with heavy hitters such as (DJ Abel, DJ Paulo & Offer Nissim). From spinning such major events such as WORK!, WE Party, Papa Party, VIVA NYC, Sanctuary, Winter Party Festival, Gay Days Orlando, Bay of Pigs (Folsom Street Events), Revolution, and Sand Blast, to spinning all around the U.S. and internationally, Eddie delivers a driving progressive tribal house sound that makes you have to dance.
Eddie currently has a few residencies around the U.S. such as NYC’s Hottest party, VIVA, and is constantly working on his music, including his “House Sessions” podcast that has been featured in the top ranks on Podomatic and iTunes.
