Oak Lawn Live: Music & Arts Street Festival

Shop. Dine. Stay. Play.

About The Strip on Cedar Springs

The Strip on Cedar Springs sits in the heart of Oak Lawn. It is Dallas’ longtime LGBTQ+ district and one of the city’s most recognizable neighborhood destinations.

Locals often know Oak Lawn as Dallas’ gayborhood. However, The Strip is more than a nightlife corridor. It is a place to shop, dine, stay, play, gather, organize, and celebrate.

Here, restaurants, bars, shops, services, apartments, hotels, nonprofits, performers, visitors, and neighbors come together. Together, they help keep Cedar Springs active, visible, and welcoming.

Cedar Springs Merchant Association

The Cedar Springs Merchant Association supports the merchants, events, public spaces, and partnerships that help The Strip thrive.

CSMA promotes local businesses. It also supports community events, district visibility, and neighborhood connection across Cedar Springs and Oak Lawn.

A Dallas LGBTQ+ District

Oak Lawn has long served as a center of LGBTQ+ life in Dallas. Visit Dallas describes Oak Lawn as home to Dallas’ LGBT community and one of the country’s most gay-friendly neighborhoods.

Today, The Strip continues that role. It welcomes residents, visitors, convention guests, artists, organizers, and community partners.

Wine Walk and Community Events

CSMA hosts and supports events that bring people into the district, including The Strip Wine Walk, local performances, community gatherings, street events, and seasonal celebrations. These events help people discover local merchants while keeping Cedar Springs visible, active, and connected.
